Friday, August 29th is my wonderful wife's birthday! This year she turns..uhhh...ooone year older than last year! 
She is a wonderful woman and I love her dearly.

If you tried to access this page in the last week or so and couldn't find it – that was my fault. If you have emailed us recently and we haven't responded – that was my fault. In short, we have to pay for this super cool domain name – stanandanne.com. Not a large amount. In fact, less than $20 a year. However, If I forget to renew on time, like I did this year, the name either starts working all together or it get redirected to a temporary page by the company it is registered with until it is renewed or sold to someone else or just goes dead. Also, our email addresses which are tied to this domain stop working until the domain is back 'on'. I knew it was going to expire soon but though I had a couple of more weeks. I discovered its expiration around about July 28 and tried desperately to get it back up before July 31 – you'll see why in another article below if you continue reading. Unfortunately I didn't get it reregistered and back up until August 2.
So, we are now back up and I am trying to catch up with a few new postings. I will be putting new content here on the home page and also a few new blog entries. I hope everyone has had a great weekend and that you all are doing well. |

So, a lot of you may have taken a look at the new site and wondered, “How does this thing work?” While most of you are inquisitive enough to just take a poke around and see what's what, I thought it might be nice to just detail a few of the features.
First, if you just come to the site and don't login, you get four choices there on the left – Home, Contact Us, View All Blogs and Our Photos. Home takes you, well, back here. Contact Us will take you to a page where you can send emails to various folks. Currently, there is only a link to send an email to our family email address. View All Blogs gets you any blogs written by the family. If the girls ever actually write something I will configure the site so that you have to be logged in to see their writings. Lastly, Our Photos will send you to our photo gallery.

15 years ago on July 31 I started a new life with a woman who means more to me than I can ever say. 15 years ago I entered into a covenant with my best friend and the future mother of my children. 15 years ago the woman who I love above all others and who loves me because of who I am and in spite of who I am agreed to spend the rest of her life with me and I with her. After 15 years, many highs and, yes, a few lows, I continue to marvel at how God has blessed me with her and through her.

Here is my special Fathers Day message for all you fathers out there. To all you fathers who aren't my father, always remember how important you are and what a huge impact you make on your family. You teach your son's how to be men, how to love their wives when they are married and how to take care of their family when they have one. You teach your daughters what the love of a good man should look like and how a man should treat a woman, especially his wife. Do not underestimate the influence you have on your children or the special calling that God has placed on your life. I hope you have a wonderful Father's Day! To my father; thank you, dad. Thank you for all you taught me and all you tried to teach me that I didn't catch the first time. Thank you for all the pitches you caught, all the baskets you shot, all the passes you threw and caught and all the time you spent swinging that baseball around on the end of a rope. Thank you for sacrificing your own time and energy so that your daughter and two sons could have a chance at success. Thank you for loving mom and sticking by her side.
